Rapport, which is free of charge for CIBC clients, works by creating a protective bubble around your browser while you are on the CIBC website. It will help to ensure that you are genuinely on our site, as opposed to a fake site, and will protect your financial information even if your computer has a virus.
Rapport works with, but does not replace, your anti-virus software and firewall - helping to give you as much protection as possible. And best of all, it's easy to use and won't slow down your computer.
What it looks like
Protected Site. A green Rapport icon will appear in or near your browser address bar when you're viewing a protected site.

The threat - what's at stake?
Your card number and sign on password are valuable to criminals. They could use this information to steal your identity and take money from your bank account. Without the proper protection on your computer, criminals could access this information through the use of malicious software (sometimes known as malware).
